My journey began on January 7, when I flew from Denver to Newark. After a brief layover, I traveled on to Paris (Orly) and then Nice.
On the domestic flight, of course, I had no idea who was vaccinated, which was worrying. On my next two flights, however, there was stringent checking. For Newark to Paris, I had to show my Covid test results (I had used the BinaxNow Home Test), as well as my CDC vax card. Once at Orly, there were three security folks (armed) who, once we had stepped onto French soil, stopped every one of us to verify our vaccination status. Had any unvaxed souls slipped through, it appeared they were willing to send the non-compliers back where they came from. I must say, I appreciated this level of vigilance!
